By definition such brands need to be in tune with the personality of the designer or team and such was the case with Orla Kiely. Introduced to FEI by KMI Brands who have been designing and marketing innovative beauty products with a strong emphasis on brand design and high integrity product formulations since the 80’s FEI were chosen as the perfume house of choice due to its ability to create fine natural fragrances for a candle range.
Meetings with Orla Kiely were many and required a good deal of advice and patience to achieve or meet the expectations of the customer when confronted by the limitations imposed. Eventually a range was produced with natural materials featuring essential oils which burned true. This requires a particular expertise because candles and essential oils do not work well.
