Kanebo conceived the idea of fragrance and emotion being linked to ad lib choice of fragrances that referenced a range of skin care. The requirement included perfumed jewels and fragranced personal items. The end products were also fragranced across the range of perfumes relating to Japanese/Chinese elements.
The design of this range was complex requiring considerable study of Far East tastes and cultures. FEI were commissioned to provide all the fragrances across all five elements. Providing a smell that would equate with metal proved the most challenging but was accepted across the total Equilir range launched in at the turn of the century to signify change. This proved that FEI could move from the mundane to the mysterious!
